Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and hashed password, stored via Supabase Auth.
• Organization profile: org name, mission statement, sector, state, annual budget range, and applicant type — used solely to rank grant matches for you.
• Saved grants: which grants you've saved, so your list persists across sessions.
• Usage events: page views and in-app actions (e.g., which grants you click) sent to PostHog to help us improve the product. PostHog is configured with no cross-site tracking.
• Payment data: billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — no card numbers or payment details.

How we use your data

• To rank federal grant listings by relevance to your mission.
• To send your weekly digest email (if subscribed).
• To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe.
• To improve the Service by analyzing aggregate usage patterns.

What we don't do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
• We do not use your mission statement or organization profile to train AI models.
• We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate AI Grants:

• Supabase — database and authentication (US servers).
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional and digest emails.
• Cohere — AI ranking of grant results (your mission text is sent to Cohere for ranking only).
• PostHog — product analytics (anonymized usage events).
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure (US servers).

Data retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and saved grants are permanently deleted. Stripe retains billing records per their own data retention policy.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. To request a full data export or account deletion, email kevin@aigrants.team. We will respond within 30 days.

Email communications

You can unsubscribe from digest emails at any time using the link in any email we send, or from your account settings. Transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) cannot be unsubscribed.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
